This site shows excerpts of the contemporary modern dance choreography of Rebecca Rice. REBECCA RICE DANCE focuses on creating new work that blends the designoriented musical style of ballet with the innovative elements of contemporary modern dance. Her affiliation with new music compliments her original style. Her recent collaborations with Pulitzer Prize winning composer John Harbison cellist Emmanuel Feldman and Burberry designerphotographer Martin Cooper have all distinguished her work as being a fresh and original voice blending modern and contemporary ballet today. Recently back from Kazakhstan where she was a Cultural Envoy with the US State Department Rice created the fifteenminute UPLIFT 2011 on the Samruk Contemporary Ballet Company to Three Movements by Steve Reich excerpts of which can be seen here.
