More than 350 birds raptors and waterfowl inhabit or migrate through Southern Oregon and Northern Californias Klamath Basins six national wildlife refuges. You may see hundreds of bald eagles in a day in one season or hundreds of thousands of Whitefronted and Ross Geese looking like snow falling in the spring migration season. The famous Clarks Grebes come here to do their ritualistic and acrobatic mating dance and later the mothers carry their young onboard their backs while paddling away on the Upper Klamath Lake near Klamath Falls Oregon. It is estimated that 80 of the Pacific Flyway yearly bird migration passes through the Klamath Basin
